BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL the anime is coming out over seas as i type this. i dont even think the comic is finished. [still waiting for new books to come out!!!!] this is my absolute favorite comic book! ive followed it since issue one. the single issues. Hiroaki Samura is a mad man who takes full reign on this book. he draws it, inks it + writes it. i even have one of his other books, which is completely different type of book from BotI, but it was still a great read + a cool peek into a different side of his art. the art is what drew me in initially, but i love the complex web of characters in this series. of course i dig Manji, for he is almost immortal, but i'd have to say is Taito Magatsu.

anyways im going to finish this fansub now and see how the adaptation pans out. so far its spot on.

kris + i just got home from watching it.

and "yes" it is so fucking good. once again the hollywood hype machine did not taint the final product.

NOLAN doesnt let you down. nor does the cast. + heath would still be getting such praise if he was still alive. makes it all the more bittersweet by the time the credits roll.

this is what i bought lastnight + watched for the umpteenth time! if you dont own the movie yet but want it on dvd + havent seen DK yet, i highly suggest it for it comes with a movie ticket towards DK. $7.50 value. 128mb batman insignia flash drive doesnt hurt either. im just a nerd. thats all.

so i watched our deluxe copy of BATMAN BEGINS as a refresher for tomorrow night's movie-going-extravaganza! what a fucking rad movie. a great + non-boring way to introduce you to the beginning of the Batman.

now here's looking to The Dark Knight! unfortunately im not at the theatre right now. i know it doesnt matter if its today or tomorrow, im just so anxious! and i know a fool who is a GM at a theatre[not local to me] who got to screen it wednesday night. screen testing. GRRRR!

anyways i have a joker sketch to post but the scanner is too loud + wifey is asleep behind me, but anyways . . . im STOKED!

thanks to the dudes on the f-list for the heads up! the trailer does look pretty fucking spot on to the comic book. the ONLY thing i can tell so far is Cudrup's blue form doesnt have full frontal like the comic, LOL! otherwise WOW! it LOOKs like the comic. i thought i heard Alan Moore wasnt a fan of their adaptation of his world renowned graphic novel saucesomeness, but damn, he should be proud of this!

either way, thats a pretty badass gig for Jim Lee to have. think of all the long time DC people who've slaved years of artwork for them, only to have Jim Lee take reign on this mmorpg venture. i wonder if any other artists did contribute? Ethan Van Sciver should have a hand in this. he's one of the best dc artists to me. i love his stuff. he fit perfectly on the return of Hal Jordan mini.

so good to be off. but we have so much to unpack. its like a cardboard nuke went off in here. i seriously need some music. dinner is almost ready. tostadas. homemade stylee. cooking at home is better than anything. but we're bad at eating all of the leftovers. i personally cannot stomach when stuff has that condensation look to it. i gross out easily i suppose. like the other night when we started watching that 30 DAYS about living on a navajo reservation. they were about to slaughter a lamb. it looks so shitty to live in a rez. if i did, i would totally go the CASINO route. scalp some wallets right up!!!

also: battlefield/bad company is amazing & it also makes me cuss up a motherfucking storm when im on multiplayer. if anyone plays let me know so we can squad up or shoot each other in the faces, etc.

ps: i would love to be able to leave my place + drive on the streets without having to deal with fucktard drivers. seriously. is your phone conversation really that important? also: if youre driving-impaired, shouldnt you just take the bus? with these gas prices, it might sound more inspiring to do so.
